Contemporary Dance
Contemporary dance is a versatile and dynamic style that blends elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance, allowing for a full range of movement and creative expression. In this class, students will: Develop Technique: Learn the foundational techniques of contemporary dance, focusing on posture, alignment, and fluidity of movement. Enhance Creativity: Explore improvisation and choreography, encouraging students to express their individuality and creativity. Build Strength and Flexibility: Engage in exercises that improve overall physical strength, flexibility, and body awareness.
Vocal Song Repertoire
Join our Vocal Song Repertoire classes to enhance your singing abilities in a supportive and engaging environment. These classes are designed to be a cost-friendly way for students to improve their vocal technique and musical understanding. In these classes, students will: Improve Vocal Technique: Learn essential vocal techniques to develop a strong and healthy singing voice. Master Scales and Exercises: Practice scales and vocal exercises to build range, control, and agility. Sing in Groups and Individually: Perform songs as part of a small group and receive individual attention to refine your skills. Learn Basic Music Theory: Gain a foundational understanding of music theory, with instruction inspired by AMEB standards. Build Confidence: Develop stage presence and confidence through regular practice and performance opportunities. Class Levels: Junior (6-11 years): Tailored to younger students, these smaller classes (capped at 10) ensure personalized instruction and a nurturing learning environment.
Jazz
Creative performing arts jazz classes will provide a structured and fun lessons which involves stretching, strength, kicks, turns and leaps. Jazz has the most variety of styles, ranging from Musical theatre, to more modern and then commercial jazz.
Music Theatre
Creative Performing Arts specialises in music theatre training. Students are encouraged and trained in Singing, Acting & Dancing, each musical routine is taught in a fun, engaging and professional manner where students are able to embrace their roles, and express themselves.
Vocals
Creative Performing Arts offers a high quality of vocal training. Each level of class is designed to accommodate students’ voices and widen their repertoire. Classes focuses are on vocal technique, repertoire, AMEB exams and live performance opportunities.
Acting
Creative Performing Arts acting classes are designed to let students explore and learn skills on stage performing as well as film and tv. Our classes offer a wild range to techniques to assist with improvisation, characterization, monologues, scene work and more.
Tap
Creative Performing Arts tap classes consists of warm-ups to stretch the muscles of the legs and feet, basic steps both on the spot & travelling across the room, combinations of both easy and difficult steps to create different sounds and rhythms.
Music Theory
Creative Performing Arts offer private and group music theory lessons. Music theory classes are important when learning an instrument including the voice. Our theory lessons will help students learn to read sheet music and understand music terminology. Students wanting an extra plus in music theory are able to sit their AMEB theory exams.
Events
Creative Performing Arts students regularly perform around Perth and their shows can be designed specifically to cater towards your event. Students have been asked to sing at events such as the Wildcats Opening games and more.
Tiny Tina Music Classes
Creative Performing Arts also offers Tiny Tina Music Classes. The program is Australian made and is designed for toddlers to explore and play while being fun and educational. Children will sing and dance to Tiny Tina original songs as while as getting to use musical instruments, while developing an understanding a basic understanding of music.

- Tiny Stars class (6yrs & under) – $11/30 mins
- Junior and Intermediate class – $11/30 mins, $18.50/45 mins
- Private Lessons (Vocals & Dance) – $37/ 30 mins, $57/ 45 mins

Creative Performing Arts Class Requirements and Levels
Junior Classes (Ages 8-12):
- No prior experience required.
- Introduction to fundamental techniques in singing, dancing, acting, and music theatre.
- Some basic experience in one or more disciplines.
Beginner / Intermediate Classes (Ages 13-17):
- No prior experience required.
- Moderate level of experience in the chosen discipline (singing, dancing, acting, music theatre).
- Focusing on refining techniques, developing performance skills, and exploring more complex choreography.
Competition Class Participation
- Junior Comp Team (Ages 8-12)
- Intermediate Comp Team Classes (Ages 13-17)
- $19 per class (45 mins) or $37 for two classes
- Entry by audition only.
- Junior and Intermiedates must attend a jazz class at CPA to be in Music Theatre troupes.
- Students in junior and inter-teams must be at an intermediate training level.
- High level of proficiency in singing or music theatre performance.
- Mastery of foundational skills with an emphasis on stage presence and artistic expression.
- Commitment to Fundraising and Classes – Team members commit to participating in fundraising activities to support competition fees, costumes, and related expenses. Team members must have good attendance throughout the year.
- Availability for Competitions – Dedication to attending all scheduled competitions and classes and related events.
